Yes, that is the powerful, positive words that came out of my daughter’s mouth. So I am finishing my degree online and I saved some hard classes for the end. Not sure why I would do that, but I really kept telling myself I was going to study the subject before the class started and then be ready to rock the class like a Boss. Something my daughter keeps saying to me. She sees me struggling and sometimes I have to walk away from the computer. I always come back to try to do the best job I can.
I actually had to hire a tutor the other day and I used Wyzant that I have posted about before. Now instead of using them to make money and be a tutor, I was one of their students. I paid for an hour, the man called me and signed into my computer to see my project and tell me what I was doing wrong. It was great. My daughter said “Well at least you didn’t just have someone do the project for you”.
“Of course not, the idea is to learn the subject.” I replied. “Good for you mom, I am proud of you.” So I believe it’s good to let your kids see you struggle sometimes. Let them know that sometimes we need help too and if we can’t help ourselves or them, we will find someone who can help them.
