Ever had a day when everything goes right? Well I am happy to say that that was my day today. I know right? When do you hear me say this? Have I gone mad?

This is Day 2 of my Be Better Challenge.

Work went spectacular, I was able to keep up with every project I was given. Work ended with a smile.

Then I picked my daughter and her best friend up from school. They were supposed to do homework before heading to a youth church group that they had both agreed to try. They actually did a bit of homework.

Now about the youth group…I hadn’t made it an option. I just said this Wednesday you are going and if you want to invite a friend you can, but you are going! This is the first time I actually put my foot down about youth church called, The Wave at our church.

I found out after the girls were at our house that middle school and high schoolers were combined for the beginning of service and then they split off to go to separate classes and it lasted an hour and a half, but I didn’t want to tell them that or they might have tried to get out of going.

Regardless, they did go and when they got home, they couldn’t stop talking about it enough. “It was so much fun mom”, my daughter said.

“Great, I’m sure next week will be even better”, I said with a smile.

She went on and on telling me every detail about the evening. I felt so good knowing that my daughter is on the right path. Faith is so important especially with the younger crowd with all of the craziness happening in the world right now.

So I watched some television, made lunches for the next day, and fell asleep happy, knowing I had not met all of my items on my list, but I enjoyed time with my daughter laughing and took a moment to breathe.

Not all that exciting to anyone but me but it goes to prove that some days are just better than others.

I am a single parent of three wonderful children. Two boys who are grown and live out on their own and a teenage daughter at home. I have gone through a lot of drama with divorce and sickness- just to start, but have found my way out of the shadows and I am ready to motivate and empower women with what I have learned. Being unqualified is exactly what makes me qualified. I work full time in the corporate world, I'm a parent, and I resell products on several different online platforms. Last, but the most important, I am a Christ follower at Church By The Glades.
